WHERE ARE THEY NOW
Kiana De Van Der Schueren
My time at Dance Force was nothing short of incredible. If I could go back i would tell my younger self to look around and appreciate that this will be one of the best times of my life. Training under Australia’s best choreographers, becoming such a versatile performer and being in such a supportive environment that created a family that I didn’t know would last me a lifetime. This journey lead me to 3 Royal Caribbean Cruise Line contracts. And then landing me my ultimate dream job with Cirque Du Soleil - Mystere in Las Vegas, where I’m currently performing. These opportunities only being possible with huge thanks to Nicole and all the other teachers I had along the way. For creating the place we call Dance Force. With all my love!
The Bodyguard Musical Australia
I was 17 years old and started Full time at “Dance Force” in 2016. It was probably the best year of my life. Danceforce became part of my family and will always be family to me. I made so many friends and learnt so much not only as a dancer/ performer but as a person. I then Graduated and was signed up by my agent “Jeep Management” and moved to Sydney. I made my professional debut in the Australian production “The Body Guard” in 2017. I spent some time in 2018 touring Europe performing on Celebrity Cruise Lines and I then went on to perform for Strut and Frets production of Life the show. I have appeared as a resident performer on The Voice, Australias got Talent, and in performances with Kelly Rowland, Guy Sabastian and also performed along side Rita Ora at the ARIA Awards. I have recently signed a two year contract with “Magic Mike Live Australia”. It’s certainly a dream come true!
Dance force provides a safe environment to train, where you will see constant improvement due to the love and support from the dedicated teachers across Australia. Since graduating in 2015 I started my professional career in Dubai performing at Dubai Parks & Resorts as a dancer/actor in The Step Up show. During my time in Dubai I also had the opportunity to dance for artists Nina Sky & Mohombi in Abu Dhabi. Following that I secured two contracts with Norwegian cruise lines on the Sun & Gem; the Gem gave me the opportunity to be a principal role in ‘Swing’ The Broadway Musical. I am currently based in London and most recently performed on X Factor Celebrity thanks to Squared Division & Kutes Agency. I am very grateful to dance force for the guidance & training they provided for me to get me to where I am today.

Training at Dance Force was the best decision for me. I always knew it would be due to the knowledge, life lessons and skills that the studio offers to each and every student that walks through the door. I would never have been prepared for auditions or contracts if it wasn’t for the faculty at Dance Force. They pushed me into the right direction and played a huge part in helping me figure out what I wanted my end goal to be for when my training was complete. Since graduating the full-time course in 2017 I have have successfully completed the following contracts.
I started at Dance Force the day they opened the doors. I’ve watched it grow from a small studio in Tweed heads to a studio known internationally. Every year Miss Nicole went to many lengths to make the studio better then the year before whether it be expanding the space, sourcing incredible choreographers and teachers or organising trips to compete in different parts of the country to challenge and inspire us. I’ve been working professionally since I was 16 and I am now 23 and in those 7 years I’ve completed a number of contracts both on land and on Royal Caribbean and Disney Cruiseline ships and in between every one I’m always excited to come back to this incredible studio that I still refer to as my second home. There are millions of dance studios in the world but not all of them have someone like Nicole Wells running them. It’s her passion for her students and her drive to make every year better then the last that makes Dance Force such a successful studio and I’m an truely honoured and blessed that I was lucky enough to call Dance Force home.

Looking back over my career to date I can confidently say what truly shaped my success was my year of training at Dance Force. As a proud graduate of the full-time year of 2012, I’ve since travelled to 55 countries performing in all kinds of shows both at sea and on land. Dance Force is a family, a safe place to grow and provides training like no other in its field. The consistent repetition of classes with resident teaching faculty combined with the knowledge and connections of the Director Nicole Wells is what has built Dance Forces reputation of Success.
I couldn’t be more thankful for my time at Dance Force. Nothing could have prepared me more for the exciting yet challenging world of professional dance. I learnt to what is was to work hard, love dance even more, become versatile in all styles of dance and to have confidence in myself to achieve my dream. I’ve worked professionally now for 8 years, traveling the world on cruise ships and performing in dinner shows in Germany. Now dancing my dream job at Le Moulin Rouge in Paris. I love my job and I wouldn’t be where I am today with the help of my amazing teachers at Dance Force.

"Dance Force is in a league of its own in the way of training facilities in Australia. It was my stepping stone from my classical, competition training to finding my feet and place in the professional industry. Dance force is also where I found my flair and love for choreography, thanks to the opportunity provided to me to learn from the best at the studio."

Celebrity Cruises, Cabaret De Paris, Commonwealth Games"Dance Force full time gave me the opportunity to be exposed to many industry choreographers/ professionals around Australia. It provided hard core training in many different styles of dance. The amazing teachers and mentors that I was lucky enough to learn from taught and shared so much information and knowledge about the professional world and really pushed me to the best I could be."
Moving to Dance Force was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my dance training. Throughout the years of my part time and full time training at Dance force, I was taught to be a professional dancer. I’m so grateful for all the opportunities I received and all the information I learnt about the industry while training with Dance Force. A couple of months after graduating from full time, I decided to make the move overseas to London. Since living here the past year, I have been featured in music videos such as Jax Jones, Ella Henderson and Fleur East and I have performed for artists such as Lewis Capaldi, MIKA and Robbie Williams. Late last year in 2019, I was lucky enough to secure a contract to perform on Xfactor Italy live shows for 3 months, it was on of the best experience’s! I have signed with many agencies here in London and Australia, I am so grateful for all the opportunities I am given from them all. Recently I’ve been working on some upcoming shows and projects with amazing choreographers that will be produced next year here in London on West End. I’ve also been provided the chance to work with Sony musics where I team up with their artists such as Beyoncé, Pink and Dalton Harris and hopefully many more to come. I am currently living my dance dream here in Europe, frequently travelling, working and teaching all around the world and I can proudly say that Dance Force has helped me get here.

After moving to dance force at the age of 15 I was lucky enough to train with some of the best. I was a full time ballerina and I was looking for a change, and my gosh did I change in my time there. The studio became my family and I can’t thank them enough for everything they pushed me to do then and still now every time I come home. I’m going into my 5th year of non stop work in the industry. With scoring my dream job straight out of full time, Moulin Rouge which I am currently moving to and from and have also been doing Celebrity Cruise Lines ships in between. I still hold dance forces training at the highest regard !
My time at Dance Force has fast tracked my dance ability and I couldn’t be more thankful. This growth has made me a more courageous and versatile artist. The vast range of teachers, and the opportunity to work with interstate and international choreographers has broadened my knowledge of dance, and has set me up for the industry. Dance Force is a big family, and I am so happy to be apart of it. Miss Nicole provided opportunities that I didn’t even imagine I could experience in such a short amount of time. I’m about to set off on my first contract with my dream cruise line, Royal Caribbean, and I know that I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the training, industry guidance and encouragement received at Dance Force during my full time year in 2019.
I started with my Danceforce family at the age of 5, instantly falling in love with the teachers and all of the other students. I happily spent more time at the studio than I ever did at home or school. I am incredibly grateful to Nic and her staff for the incredible training that I was lucky enough to receive, that training led me to achieve more success than I ever could have hoped for, In 2015 I won Showcase Preteen DOTY, 2016 Hollywood Bound Senior DOTY, & 2016 GTB Senior Champion, and Champion of Champions. After completing 1 year of full time dance at Danceforce I quickly was offered my dream job, a contract with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. I headed off overseas shortly after my 18th birthday and I’m now on my 2nd RCCL contract and loving my dance life abroad.

"Dance Force molded me into the dancer I am today. Training with highly skilled and professional teachers gave me the training and knowledge I needed to become a professional and an all rounder in the industry. Dance Force was my family growing up as a teenager and transitioning into an adult and I will always cherish the memories I have growing up at the studio."
I am beyond grateful to have grown up training as part of the Dance Force family. My time at Dance Force gave me the opportunity to learn from incredibly skilled teachers and to be surrounded by highly motivated, passion students that always pushed me to be my best. Today I am able to travel and do what I love for a living while often getting the opportunity to work professionally alongside some of my lifelong Dance Force friends, and always know that I have a supportive dance environment and second family to come home to.
Before moving to Dance Force to study Fulltime in 2017, I had no idea what I wanted to do, but just knew that it had to be something to do with dance. As soon as I arrived I was overwhelmed with the amount of love and support that was given to all the students from each teacher that taught at the studio. With guidance from the residential teachers and also teachers from out of state, I decided that I wanted to do a cruise ship contract. So for the next 2 years I was continually pushing myself and keeping that dream fresh in my mind, along with the support of all my teachers keeping me motivated and working my hardest to be ready for auditions. At the end of my second year of fulltime training, I was rewarded with my first contract with Royal Caribbean, being cast as a Showgirl on their brand new ship “Spectrum of the Seas”. I knew that all of my hard work and dedication from the past two years had paid off and I will be forever grateful to Nic, Heidi, Ben and all of the teachers that I trained with over the 2 years, as their industry knowledge was invaluable. I have recently returned to Australia from my contract and can say that it was an experience that I will never forget! Being a part of a brand new cast and working with such amazing choreographers and people is a memory I will always hold on to. Not to mention, the incredible places that I was lucky enough to see in just under a year! I hope to have many more lifechanging adventures like this one throughout the rest of my career and travelling to new places of the world.

Choosing Dance Force for my full time training back in 2015 was definitely one of the best decisions I have made in my life so far. Dance Force got me ready for the professional world by really pushing me out of my comfort zone and shaped me into the performer and person I am today. I found my style and image, and got to work on my strengths and weaknesses every single day. Training here matured me, improved me and made me realise what I need to have as a dancer in the professional world. I can proudly say that I have completed 3 contracts with Royal Caribbean onboard some of their most prestigious ships and am constantly working on the coast in the commercial gigs scene. I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today without the helping hand of Dance Force.

"Dance Force not only shaped me as a dancer in more ways I could imagine, but I grew so much as a person in my time there. They developed me into a hard working and dedicated performer and gave me the knowledge I needed to break out into the professional dance industry. I am forever grateful to my beautiful teachers for getting me where I am today. I am travelling the world doing what I love. What more could I ever ask for."
Training Full-Time at Dance Force has given me the opportunity to build my strength and resilience as a dancer, which has prepared me to be successful in the dance industry. Dance Force exposed me to challenging, crucial situations that further led to amazing opportunities; one being scouted at the graduation show by a Royal Caribbean casting agent. I have now completed two ship contracts with the company.

Dance force isn’t just a dance studio, it’s a family. Not only did Dance Force shape me into the dancer I am today, it has helped find who I am and grow as a person. Nicole and all the teachers set students up with all tools to be a professional and employable dancer and I will forever be thankful to Dance Force for providing me with the tools I needed to pursue a career in the industry and am very lucky to be a part of their family.
Training at dance force was by far the best decision I made for myself. Coming here I was exposed to new industry professionals every week, in depth audition and partner training, as well as having the best support group I have ever come across. We were given amazing opportunities, performing all over Australia and New Zealand for our graduation tour, as well as dancing at the Australian dance festival. Nicole always goes above and beyond for every single one of her students to make them the best they can be. Its because of her and my incredible friends from dance force, I continued to pursue a career in dance when I didn’t believe I could get much out of it. Now I am about to fly overseas to begin my first contract with Royal Caribbean Crusielines and I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you Dance Force.
I moved to the Gold Coast from Townsville in 2017, and started at Dance Force the same year in the fulltime Cert IV in Elite Performance course, and opens competition team. This course provided me with the most valuable tools and training needed to make a successful career in this business. I was exposed to the industries leading choreographers and agencies and was apart of Dance Force’s first graduation tour, making connections I will forever be grateful for. In 2018 I then continued training at Dance Force in the Part- Time program, meaning I could work and audition during the week and have a full day of classes on a Friday, keeping my training level high and with the most incredible faculty. Later in 2018 I landed my dream job and signed my first contract with Royal Caribbean on Empress of The Seas, preforming Sequins and Feathers: Three and Bailamos. I am currently now in rehearsals for my second contract with the company, this time on Navigator of the Seas, performing Showgirl and Ballroom Fever. I would truely not be where I am today without the opportunities and incredible faculty that became family at Dance Force.

Joining Dance Force in 2010 was the best decision I ever made. A studio that wasn't just a studio but more like a second home to me. Strangers becoming friends, now my forever family. Only training as a part time student, growing as a person and performer like I would never believe. I can never put into words how much appreciation I have towards everyone at Dance Force. Myself, who wasn’t going to have dance as my career, was consistently still encouraged to follow my heart. Flash forward a few years, I am currently on my 5th contract with Royal Caribbean International.
Moving to dance force from Perth was definitely the best decision I have ever made for myself. The support that I received from
Nicole and the whole team built up my confidence and allowed me to find my passion for dance. I was provided with professional-level training in all styles including partner and audition technique. At Dance Force, I met some of my life long friends that I will always have and I’m so grateful, I would not hesitate to recommend the studio to anyone and could easily say it was the best year of my life.
My time at Dance Force has been so memorable and I’m so lucky to be apart of the family. The opportunities are endless and it was not only a studio but a home away from home! I couldn’t be more grateful for Nicole and all the incredible staff for shaping me into the dancer I am today. They have not only mentored me from the age of 10 but have always had my back no matter what. It was an incredible journey that I will never forget! Dance Force is such a safe and supportive environment. I always left feeling so inspired. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my DF family! I’m so excited to be leaving on my first contract with Royal Caribbean Cruiselines

Since leaving Full Time she was offered representation by Jeep Management and moved to Sydney early 2019. Training at Dance force has allowed me to become a versatile dancer with a sound knowledge of the industry. I completed 2 years of Full time dance at Dance force which helped me to focus on where I needed to be and to set goals for my future. I believe one of the many reasons my peers and I grew as dancers and performers was the safe environment that is given to all artists at DF. After my full time training year ended I went on to perform at The Star Hotel & Casino, Open for Taylor Swifts RED tour and perform as a Dancer and Aerialist for 4+ years with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. I am currently pursuing my professional dance and acting career in Vancouver, Canada and it’s great knowing that Dance Force will always be my home!
It’s safe to say my time at Dance Force were two of the best years of my life. The experiences and opportunities I was exposed to have shaped me into not only the dancer I am today but the human being I am too. Dance Force taught me so much more than just dancing. Thanks to the nurturing, family environment, I was able to grow as an individual in so many ways and learnt so much about myself. Whilst training at Dance Force I was fortunate enough to win multiple completions around Australia and America, providing me with industry connections around the globe. Since leaving Dance Force, I have travelled to the USA multiple times and been involved in filming projects and professional performances in Los Angeles. I look forward to continuing to travel to not only the United States but to Singapore and New Zealand as well to perform, teach and assist choreographers. I am forever grateful to Nic, Ben, Heidi and the Dance Force team for everything they have done for me and am so proud to say I am a part of the Dance Force family. I couldn’t think of a better place in Australia to train.

"Dance force was such a blessing to me. I arrived at dance force completely lost, not knowing whether I even wanted a career in dance anymore. I was completely welcomed with open arms and people who believed in my talent and future. Now I'm on a global tour on one of the biggest ships in the world, apart of the first cast of two brand new shows, and to top it off I dance the lead female role in one of the shows."

I am so grateful for the time I spent and for the training I received whilst studying at Dance Force. I was able to gain a wealth of knowledge for the industry from the professionals themselves and was given so many incredible opportunities that couldn't be experienced elsewhere. It was refreshing to train in such a supportive environment and to be surrounded by teachers and peers who were always encouraging and wanting you to succeed. I will forever thank Dance Force for providing me with the tools I needed to pursue a career in the industry and am very lucky to be a part of their family.
My time at Dance Force was truly the most magical, and unforgettable years of my life. The teachers; facilities, and the other students, created such a perfect place, where I couldn’t wait to race off to after school. Not only was it a place to train and improve as a dancer, but it was my home away from home. I successfully complete my 2 year full-time course, which shortly after at the age of 19 I went off with Princess Cruises for my first contract. For six years now I have been happy and comfortable working for Princess Cruises, where I have been luckily enough to see the world traveling, and doing what I love most.
Originally I'm from a small town where I wasn't aware of the opportunities out there for dancers. I decided to move to the Gold Coast to start fulltime dance with Dance Force and I cannot even begin to describe how life changing that decision was for me. Dance Force not only taught me new skills and improved my dance ability beyond measure, but I was also opened up to the dance industry through top choreographers, incredible performance opportunities and experiences in the dance industry I'll never forget. I made friends that I consider to be my family, and made connections with dance professionals which has kept me on the right path to achieve a career I always dreamt of. Thanks to Dance Force I was offered a contract for Disney Cruise Line on the ship 'Fantasy' which will commence in June 2020. Without Nic, there is no possible way I would be getting to live my dream. She went above and beyond to make this happen for me and so many of her other students. Dance Force will always be a home for me and I couldn't imagine my life without the beautiful people there.
Growing up in a small country town called Leeton, I was mainly trained in ballet and technique. Choosing to study full time at Danceforce has allowed me to expand on this training, and broaden my capabilities in various dance styles in order to gain a profession in the industry. I now have a greater appreciation and love for what I do, and can not wait for future students to experience this as well. I am forever grateful for the guidance and support of all my teachers for shaping me into the dancer I am today.

“I arrived at Dance Force a shy, soft spoken kid with little knowledge of the industry that I was getting myself into. During my time at the studio I was provided with the tools, knowledge and confidence I needed to help mold me into the performer/person I am today”
